WEB DESK: The Judicial Magistrate South gave an hour to Shiraz, who is being dubbed an accomplice and a prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case in Karachi, to take his time and think about his confession because it is a matter of life and death. Shiraz had stated that he was being pressurised to give a confessional statement, and refused to do so. He was presented before the Judicial Magistrate South to record his confessional statement on Monday.
“I was told that if I confess, I will receive a lighter sentence,” Shiraz said, while the court rejected the investigating officer’s request for the accused’s confessional statement.
Shiraz maintained that he was a witness in the case and saw Armaghan kill Mustafa Amir. He added, however, that he could not do anything to save Mustafa’s life.
