LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore on Saturday has once again summoned former Chief Minister of Punjab, Usman Buzdar, in relation to ongoing investigations.

Buzdar has been strictly directed to appear in person on August 30, along with the required records.

He has so far failed to appear for questioning despite receiving more than a dozen notices over the past few months.

According to sources within the bureau, the NAB has now issued a warrant for Buzdar’s arrest in case of non-compliance with the latest summons.

The NAB is investigating allegations of accumulating assets beyond known sources of income against the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader.

It is claimed that Buzdar and his relatives stockpiled assets worth billions of rupees during his four-year tenure as Chief Minister.

The suspected unauthorised transfers and postings of government officials during Buzdar’s tenure are also under scrutiny by the anti-graft watchdog.
