Never doubt Pakistan’s prosperous future: COAS

KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Saturday emphasized that Pakistan’s prosperity should never be doubted and that collective efforts have successfully countered attempts to create hopelessness.

He expressed these views while holding a meeting with Karachi’s business community to discuss critical economic matters.

In the meeting, General Asim Munir reminded attendees of his previous message from a year ago, urging them not to lose hope, stating that “Despair is a sin.”

He emphasized that Pakistan’s prosperity should never be doubted and that collective efforts have successfully countered attempts to create hopelessness.

Highlighting Pakistan’s potential, the army chief remarked that the country possesses extraordinary capabilities across various sectors.

With its resources and talent, Pakistan aims to achieve its rightful place on the global stage. He pointed out the positive effects on the economy from controlling smuggling along the western border.

The army chief also lauded the role of friendly nations in Pakistan’s economic recovery and acknowledged that major international companies, such as Google and Starlink, are now investing in the country.

He noted that these achievements would not have been possible without the cooperation of the business community.

The COAS expressed strong confidence in Pakistan’s future and reassured the business community that their concerns, especially those related to Karachi, would be addressed on a priority basis.

He also invited the business community to collaborate with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) for the country’s economic growth.

Furthermore, the army chief reiterated the military’s commitment to combatting illegal activities and called for unwavering confidence in Pakistan’s bright future.
