No chance of Imran Khan being released, claims Faisal Vawda

ISLAMABAD: Senator Faisal Vawda has claimed that there is no chance of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan being released adding that the PTI protest call for November 24 will prove to be a mere water bubble.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Faisal Vawda dismissed the possibility of any major developments on November 24, saying, “The planned protest will yield no results.”

Vawda also predicted that on November 25, PTI’s founding chairman Imran Khan will face an indictment, intensifying the challenges for the party.

The senator claimed that certain factions within PTI are making things difficult for their leader adding. “They have nothing left to save him”.

He alleged that some leaders within the party are striking deals for personal relief.

Vawda revealing deepening internal rifts within PTI, said that there are evident factions and disunity. He pointed out that many PTI MPAs in Punjab have turned against the party, and the leadership’s focus has largely shifted to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“Only the KP government is actively protesting, while the rest of the PTI leadership is sitting idle in KP,” he said.

Hinting that PTI could still backtrack on its call for protest, Faisal Vawda said it would be very difficult for the party to mobilise a large number of gathering without any leadership.

“Even if 5,000 to 7,000 people gather with machinery to storm the capital, where is the PTI leadership? They should also bring their children to the protest ,” he challenged.
