Officials seize smuggled goods in Sheikhupura, Dadu

SHEIKHUPURA: In a recent operation, officials in Sheikhupura took action against smuggling activities, intercepting a truck transporting a significant quantity of goods.
According to sources, the seized items included 500 bags of fertilizer and 100 bags of wheat. The officials said that the seized items were being smuggled to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Meanwhile, the truck carrying these goods has been taken into custody by the government, and legal proceedings have been initiated in response to the incident.
The Deputy Commissioner said that they were taking stringent measures to combat hoarding and illegal transportation of essential commodities.

In a separate operation near Panj Morr, Dadu authorities successfully located and recovered a substantial stock of wheat, totaling 5,000 bags, concealed in a warehouse.
In response to the discovery, the administration imposed a fine of PKR20,000 on the warehouse owner.
Meanwhile, another raid conducted at Mondar Naka led to the confiscation of over a hundred bags of fertilizers.
