OGRA increases price of LPG cylinders


ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Saturday issued a notification increasing the price of LPG domestic cylinders by 246 rupees and 15 paise. The new price of an 11.8kg LPG domestic cylinder will be Rs3,790. The increase will be effective from October 1, 2023.

The price of LPG per kg has been increased by 20 rupees and 86 paise to Rs260.98.

Separately, petrol prices may be poised for a significant decline due to the recent strengthening of the Pakistani rupee.

Finance ministry officials have indicated that starting October 1 and lasting for the next two weeks, the price of a litre of petrol could potentially decrease by Rs11.98, while high-speed diesel rates may see a reduction of Rs9.17 per litre. Additionally, kerosene prices might drop by Rs5.58 per liter, reported The Express Tribune.
