ISLAMABAD: In a strong and coordinated response to Indian missile attacks on three Pakistani airbases, Pakistan Armed Forces have launched retaliatory strikes under “Operation Bunyan Marsoos”, hitting multiple strategic Indian military installations, officials confirmed on Saturday.
Security sources said the operation was launched after India used air-to-surface missiles to strike Pakistani airbases. In what the military described as an “eye-for-an-eye” response, Pakistan struck back at Indian targets involved in the aggression.
Key Indian targets hit include:
- Brigade Headquarters KG Top
- Field Supply Depot Uri
- Artillery Gun Position Derangyari
- BrahMos Battery Site in Nagrota
- Udhampur Airfield
- Pathankot Airfield
- Suratgarh Airfield
Most of these locations lie close to the Line of Control (LoC), but some—like Pathankot in Indian Punjab and Suratgarh in Rajasthan—are deep inside Indian territory, indicating the precision and reach of the operation.
The strikes on Pathankot and Udhampur are being viewed as particularly significant due to the strategic importance of these bases. Pathankot, located near the Pakistan border, has long served as a key frontline airbase housing fighter jets and attack helicopters. Udhampur, meanwhile, is a vital logistical and operational hub for Indian military forces operating in Jammu.
In a parallel move, Pakistan also launched a cyber offensive targeting India’s power infrastructure. According to Pakistan Television (PTV) News, critical Indian digital assets were compromised, including websites linked to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Border Security Forces (BSF), and Crime Research Investigation Agency.
Military officials termed the operation Bunyan Marsoos a “measured but firm response” to Indian provocation, stating that any future violations would be met with even greater force.
