Pakistan remains one of the top troop-contributing countries to UN peacekeeping, a role it takes with great responsibility. Deputy Prime Minister Dar emphasised that, given current regional dynamics, an increased peacekeeping presence is essential. On the Kashmir issue, the Foreign Minister reiterated that any resolution must align with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Dar stressed that UN peacekeeping is a cost-effective and vital tool for maintaining global security, especially amid rising global challenges. To enhance mission effectiveness, he called for greater technological integration and regional cooperation, as well as renewed political commitment from the international community.

He also affirmed that Pakistan views its participation in peacekeeping as a crucial contribution to world peace and stability. “Pakistan remains steadfast in its commitment to global peace, security, and prosperity,” he said, adding that the country will continue to play an active role in UN peacekeeping missions in the future.

The PM also stressed resolving Kashmir per UN resolutions. Pakistan remains a top troop contributor, upholding its pledge to global peace and security.
