Pakistan Railways police doubles security personnel for Balochistan trains

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways Police has formulated a new plan for the security of trains running in Balochistan. The number of security personnel in trains running from Quetta has been doubled to 40 personnel, Pakistan Railways Police IG Muhammad Tahir Rai said in an informal conversation with the journalists.
The wireless system has been upgraded and an uninterrupted communication system has also been activated, IG Tahir Rai said, adding that a boundary wall will also be constructed for Quetta-Sibi and Mach railway stations.

He informed that bridges will be built and snipers will be deployed. “With the new system, the communication system of the Railway Police will work better in case of any emergency,” the Pakistan Railways Police IG said.
“In view of security, preparation of five bulletproof bogies is also underway. Long-range rifles and night vision security devices will be installed on the bulletproof bogie,” he said, adding that 150 personnel will be deployed to fill the shortage of security personnel in Balochistan.
