Pakistan railways to launch revamped business express

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways has decided to introduce a modern business train equipped with advanced technology to enhance travel comfort for passengers.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to inaugurate the upgraded train on July 19 at Lahore Railway Station.

According to railway officials, the existing Pak Business Express, which operates between Karachi and Lahore, has been upgraded with 28 brand-new Chinese digital coaches.

The revamped train will offer free Wi-Fi and an international standard dining car, aimed at improving the overall passenger experience.

Officials have not yet disclosed whether the fares will be revised following the upgrade.

Pakistan Railways is also modernising its system in other areas. Its online ticketing and live tracking app is being further upgraded for ease of use.

Additionally, escalators have been installed at Lahore Railway Station to assist passengers, while the railway minister has announced plans to offer free Wi-Fi at 40 railway stations as part of a pilot project.
