PSX trading suspension extended for another hour

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced a temporary suspension of trading for one hour to address administrative issues. The suspension will be effective from 10:25 AM to 11:25 AM today (Monday). Later, another notification was issued extending the suspension for another hour.

The decision, made by the PSX Administration, aims to improve the IT system and ensure smoother operations.

PSX building fire contained, says fire brigade

Despite the suspension due to fire earlier today, business activities continued online throughout the morning. The PSX administration emphasised that this step is necessary to correct ongoing administrative challenges and enhance the overall efficiency of the trading process.

After opening at 80,212.79 points, the index reached the highest of the morning at 80,448.37 points and has now been suspended at 80,240.83 points.
