ISLAMABAD: The Parliamentary Committee on the Appointment of Judges has approved the appointments of several key judicial figures to the Supreme Court, according to sources familiar with the matter. This decision follows recommendations made by the Judicial Commission.

Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Shehzad Malik is set to join the Supreme Court following the committee’s approval. Additionally, the committee has greenlit the appointments of Justice Shahid Bilal from the LHC and Chief Justice Aqeel Abbasi of the Sindh High Court (SHC).
