PM congratulates Trump on his “historic” victory

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday congratulated the president-elect of the United States of America Donald Trump on his “historic” victory for a second term.

“Congratulations to President-elect Donald Trump on his historic victory for a second term,” the prime minister wrote on his X timeline.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said that he looked forward to working closely with the incoming Administration to further strengthen and broaden the Pakistan-U.S. partnership.

Trump projected to win 2024 US election

While complete results of the US presidential polls are yet to be announced, Trump — based on several US media reports including those of Fox News — has claimed victory in the historic race that saw a Black-South Asian woman Harris compete against a former white president.

The Democratic candidate is way behind in the race with 226 and Trump leading with 277 votes, as per the aforementioned American media.
