SIALKOT: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, along with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Syed Asim Munir, visited the front lines and met with soldiers who were part of the Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.

PM Sharif visited Pasrur Cantonment in Sialkot and met with the officers and soldiers who took part in Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos during Marka-e-Haq.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar, Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal and Attaullah Tarar and Sialkot Corps Commander were also with the prime minister during this visit.

The prime minister will also visit air bases and naval bases to meet the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy in the next few days.

On the other hand, two more soldiers of the Pakistan Army succumbed to injuries sustained during the Indian attacks on Pakistan, bringing the total number of martyrs to 13, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Indian army launched a blatant and coward aggression which on the night of May 6 and May 7, targetting innocent civilians, including women, children, and the elderly.

“While defending the motherland with exemplary courage and unwavering resolve, two more valiant sons of the soil embraced shahadat today who were hospitalised, bringing the total number of martyred personnel of the Pakistan Armed Forces to 13 while 78 have sustained injuries in the line of duty.”
