ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif held telephonic conversations with heads of major political parties to brief them on Pakistan’s retaliatory action against India.
The premier spoke with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari (PPP), Barrister Gohar Ali Khan (PTI), Maulana Fazlur Rehman (JUI-F), Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui (MQM-P), Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman (JI), Khalid Hussain Magsi (BAP), and Chaudhry Salik Hussain (PML-Q).
Shehbaz Sharif informed the political leadership that Pakistan Armed Forces gave a strong, coordinated, and powerful response to India’s aggression. He said India had targeted Pakistan with missile and drone attacks, yet Pakistan initially showed restraint.
After India rejected Pakistan’s call for an impartial probe into the Pahalgam incident, fresh attacks were launched this morning on Nur Khan Airbase and civilian areas, the PM added.
He said Pakistan’s Operation Bunyān al-Marsoos was aimed precisely at Indian military sites used in the attacks, stressing that the response was meant to avenge the blood of innocent civilians.

“We are proud of our armed forces. Today’s success belongs to the entire nation,” PM Shehbaz told party leaders, thanking them for standing united in this critical moment.
Leaders from across the political spectrum praised the professionalism and courage of the military and assured the Prime Minister of national unity and support.
They said the armed forces’ swift and calculated response had safeguarded the country’s sovereignty, and they stood firmly behind them in defending the motherland.
