PML-N, PPP hold meetings with foreign envoys in Pakistan

LAHORE/KARACHI: Ambassador of the United States to Pakistan Donald Blome arrived in Raiwind leading a high-level delegation, on Friday.

Ambassador Blome engaged in extensive discussions with Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif at the latter’s residence at Jati Umra. The meeting was also attended by PML-N Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz. Topics related to bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest, were discussed in the meeting, according to party sources.

Meanwhile, in Karachi, Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP) President Asif Ali Zardari held talks with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott. The discussions encompassed various aspects of bilateral relations and potential areas for collaboration.

Former president Asif Ali Zardari conveyed his warm wishes on the birthday of King Charles and extended good wishes to David Cameron on his appointment as Foreign Minister. Zardari also urged Britain to play a constructive role in ending the Israeli aggression in Gaza, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic solutions.

PPP memebers, Senator Saleem Mandviwala and Dr Asim Hussain, were also present in the meeting.
