DG KHAN: The Punjab Police eliminated four Khawarij in the Kot Mubarak area of Dera Ghazi Khan, as the military and law enforcement agencies are stepping up their campaign against terrorists across Pakistan.
Kot Mubarak is located around 150 kilometres north of Dera Ghazi Khan.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the terrorists were terrorising the locals at multiple locations while moving in the area.
Soon after receiving the information, the police launched an operation after encircling the terrorists, which triggered a gunfight.
The terrorists, meanwhile, used heavy weapons. However, the law enforcers gunned down four them.
During the process, a large quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered from their possession.

The spokesperson added that their accomplices fled the area while taking advantage of the local topography, but the police were conducting a search and sweep operation so that the remaining Khawarij and their facilitators could be captured.
In their reaction, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz paid tributes to the police for timely response and bravery.
At the same time, they also promised to continue the ongoing fight against terrorism to its logical conclusion.
INDIAN PROXIES
With the Narendra Modi government facing a humiliation after an unprovoked aggression against Pakistan, New Delhi is desperate to somehow recreate the myth of India being a global power.
India had hoped that it would pressurise Pakistan and dictate terms, but the only thing received in return is isolation at world stage and an erased status of international player.
That’s why the Indian-backed terrorists are now more active in different parts of the country.

On the other hand, the Khawarij had tried to infiltrate into Pakistan by cross the Pak-Afghan border soon after the Pahalgam attack. However, the military had foiled their attempt, resulting in one of the deadliest day for these terrorists.
