Preparations finalised for Youm-e-Ali procession in Karachi

KARACHI: As the death anniversary of Hazrat Ali (21^st Ramadan), known as Youm-e-Ali, approaches, preparations have been finalised in Karachi for the main procession along with security arrangements.

The main procession of Youm-e-Ali will kick off from Nishtar Park, traversing through traditional routes and concluding at Imambargah Hussainiya Iraniyan in Kharadar.

IG Sindh issues directives to ensure security on Youm-e-Ali

Ahead of the procession, a majlis will be convened at Nishtar Park, featuring an address by Allama Rehan Haider Rizvi. Afterwards, under the leadership of Butrab Scouts, the main procession will set off from Nishtar Park.

To uphold safety measures, Karachi authorities have implemented strict security protocols. Passageways along the procession route were sealed late last night using containers, while a robust presence of police and rangers will be deployed to ensure the security of participants and onlookers.

Multan police finalise security plan for Youm-e-Ali

In a bid to fortify security measures, shops and markets lining the procession route have been sealed off, emphasising the paramount importance of safety during the event.

Additionally, expert snipers have been strategically positioned on tall buildings to bolster security arrangements.
