President, PM honour Jinnah’s legacy


In a message commemorating the 76th passing anniversary of the country's founder, the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, President Asif Ali Zardari honoured his legacy.

ISLAMABAD: In a message commemorating the 76th passing anniversary of the country’s founder, the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, President Asif Ali Zardari honoured his legacy.

In the speech, Zardari talked about Jinnah’s unwavering struggle for self-determination. He stressed that the nation must adhere to the principles of its founding leaders to ensure a prosperous Pakistan.

He talked about Jinnah’s dedication to parliamentary democracy and interfaith harmony. Zardari noted that Jinnah’s efforts were also aimed at safeguarding the political, cultural, and religious rights of Muslims.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also released a statement on Jinnah’s death anniversary. He described the Founder as a visionary and distinguished politician whose movement was important in securing Pakistan’s independence.

Shehbaz remarked that Jinnah’s achievements stand as a testament to his political insight and leadership. He said that every citizen should live by Jinnah’s principles of faith, unity, and discipline, and urged the nation to embody these values in modern society.

The PM called for a renewed dedication to the ideals of Pakistan’s founder, talking about the necessity of instilling the values in future generations. He stated that the nation must strive diligently to uphold Jinnah’s vision for a thriving and democratic Pakistan.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah passed away on September 11, 1948 in Karachi, just a year after Pakistan was founded.
