Kamala Harris fires up: Felon, election fraud, minor sexual assaulter

The soft spoken powerhouse fired at Donald Trump, enunciating each epithet with ballistic missile-level precision. ‘Felon”, “election fraud”, “national security threat”, “minor sexual assault[er]”, each charge fell whisper-soft but heavy blow after blow.

Meanwhile, Trump charged Harris with lacking an original agenda. He claimed that she simply mirrored US president Joe Biden’s initiatives and without presenting any unique proposals herself.

The discussion escalated as the candidate clashed over the issue of abortion rights. Harris committed to reinstating Roe vs Wade, as she stressed the necessity of safe guarding the reproductive rights of women at the national level.

For his part, Trump came back with a surprise attack: he refuted any claims of implementing comprehensive abortion polices at the federal level. Instead, he contended that both, the Democrats and the Republicans got what they wanted – to allow individual states to determine their own abortion regulations.

The former US president further lambasted the current VP, accusing her of taking advantage of the US populace for an extended period. He asserted that the current inflation has skyrocketed under the Biden-Harris administration. “There was no inflation previously, and now we are experiencing the highest inflation”, he declared.

Trump referenced surveys indicating that a substantial majority of US citizens – ranging from 80 per cent to 90 per cent – believe that his economic strategies were successful during his time in the Oval Office.

The Republican nominee highlighted what he characterised as a rise in illegal immigration under the Biden-Harris leadership. “They are responsible for a significant influx of illegal migrants, and we must remove them” he argued.

Both, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump focused on illegal immigration in the US as a major talking point during the debate.

Harris responded to Trump’s claims by accusing him of jeopardising US interests. She stated that Trump had facilitated the sale of US technology to its biggest rival, China. This way, she declared, enhancing the Chinese military’s strength and effectively “selling us out”.

She further criticised Trump’s trade policies, arguing that they ultimately benefited Chinese premiere Xi Jingping at the expense of the US interests.

The debate is on-going, with each prepared well and countering their rival’s pointing.

Interestingly, the current debate lacked any explosive or fiery episodes, with even Trump appearing extremely composed. The 45th’s usual abrasive, explosive demeanour is surprisingly calm, even in the face of Harris’ onslaught.
