LAHORE: In a recent development, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javaid has been arrested in connection with a terrorism case filed at Shadman police station. This arrest is linked to the terrorism case number 786 registered in Shadman police station. Authorities have not disclosed specific details about the allegations against Sanam Javaid, but the arrest is a significant development in an ongoing investigation.

Earlier today, Justice Arshad Javed of Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore, had approved her bail in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) house burning case. During the hearing the Deputy Prosecutor had requested to reject the bail. However, now there are reports that she has been arrested in another case.

It is notable here that just two days earlier, Sanam Javaid was allotted election symbols, setting the stage for her contest against PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz. The political landscape now sees a twist as Javaid faces legal challenges alongside her political aspirations.
