ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) taking its traditional U-Turn has cancelled its plans to hold protests across the country.

PTI had announced its plans to stage protests across the country from the beginning of November.

The purpose of the rallies is to mobilize support for imprisoned leader Imran Khan and denounce proposed constitutional amendments that will allegedly undermine the independence of the judiciary

However, now as per media reports, all announced gatherings, protests and rallies would also be cancelled.

The new action plan would be devised to halt arrests and other issues.

PTI also called off its public gathering scheduled for November 8 in Peshawar.

However, PTI would stage a protest sit-in in Swabi for three days which would be attended by party leaders and workers across the country.

Central and provincial leadership would address the PTI sit-in in Swabi.

Party leaders confirmed that preparations for the Swabi sit-in were in the final stage.

The sit-in is expected to be organised after Nov 10 in Swabi.
