PTI, JI protest: Quaid-e-Azam University to remain closed

ISLAMABAD: Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad announced on Friday the closure of the University due to blocked roads on account of protest call by Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Jamaat –e-Islami (JI).

According to QAU spokesperson, the university will remain closed in view of the closure of various roads of the twin cities.

Due to the inconvenience caused by road closures, the Quaid -e-Azam university will remain closed for an unspecified period of time due to the protest call of PTI, JI.

In response to the upcoming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) protests, authorities have closed various roads including the Faizabad interchange connecting Rawalpindi to Islamabad by placing heavy barriers.

The opposition parties’ protest targets the hike in power tariffs, inflated electricity bills, and the release of PTI leader Imran Khan.
