MANSEHRA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has boosted that the protest call was given by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and “we will continue it until Imran Khan officially ends it”.

Addressing a press conference after fleeing Islamabad, the KP CM claimed that his party is committed to peaceful protests and asserted that the party stands for the rule of law, constitutional protection, and true democracy

“We are the only party that has consistently worked for the rights of future generations and upheld Pakistan’s dignity and independence,” he remarked.

Accusing the government of engaging in oppressive tactics against PTI leaders, workers, and supporters he said, “Our mandate was stolen, our leader is imprisoned, and even his wife was wrongfully detained. Cases against us were fabricated, and our supporters faced brutality” .

Gandapur lamented that despite these challenges, PTI has maintained a peaceful stance. He criticized the lack of permissions for public gatherings and the judiciary’s alleged inability to provide justice, leaving PTI with no choice but to voice their concerns through protests.

He reaffirmed that the sit-in is not just a protest but a movement, emphasizing that it will continue until Imran Khan decides otherwise.

“The dharna is ongoing and will persist as per Khan’s directives,” he concluded, appealing to the public to support PTI’s cause.
