Public holiday announced for tomorrow

KARACHI: The Sindh government has declared a public holiday in Umerkot district tomorrow (Thursday) due to the upcoming by-election.

The public holiday has been announced in connection with the by-polls in NA-213 Umerkot constituency. A notification in this regard has also been issued.

It is worth mentioning that Nawab Yousaf Talpur was elected as Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from NA-213 Umerkot during the general elections of 2024.

However, the seat fell vacant after his death in February this year.

The by-election on the vacant seat is scheduled to be held on April 17.
