The program is targeted to the graduates of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Zoology
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the Aqua Shrimp Farming Internship Program, Radio Pakistan reported on Thursday.
The program is aimed at providing practical training and career opportunities for graduates of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Zoology. Pakistan is increasingly becoming food insecure, and there is a dire need to promote education, training and research oriented careers in these areas.
Moreover, climate change has also been negatively impacting the wildlife and aquatic life in the region, and this internship program might also put the young graduates to enter into research and application fields that benefit in preservation of these species.
