Punjab Food Authority cracks down on adulterated milk


SARGODHA: The Punjab Food Authority has conducted a series of operations in Sargodha to combat the issue of adulterated milk and ghee in the region.

During these actions, approximately 1800 liters of adulterated milk were seized, leading to the registration of a case against those responsible.

In an effort to ensure food safety, the authorities inspected 15 vehicles transporting a total of 38,000 liters of milk, using specialized equipment to detect any adulteration.

Additionally, a case has been filed against an individual for allegedly adding harmful substances to desi ghee.

The Punjab Food Authority’s spokesperson has reported that five suppliers in the region have been fined for violating food safety regulations, emphasising the authority’s commitment to upholding food quality and safety standards.
