Punjab schools reopen after winter holidays

LAHORE: All schools across Punjab, including in Lahore, reopened Monday after a 21-day-long winter break with new timings.

Schools had been closed from December 23 to January 12. The Punjab Education Department has also issued new school timings.

As per the schedule, schools will operate Monday through Saturday from 8:45 AM to 3:00 PM, and on Fridays, from 8:45 AM to 12:00 PM.

The Punjab government has also relaxed the school uniform policy during the winter season. Students can wear jackets, sweaters, coats, socks, and shoes of any color to protect themselves from the cold.

This relaxed policy will remain in effect until February 28, 2025.

The uniform policy adjustment aims to ensure students’ comfort and safety during the chilly weather.
