ISLAMABAD: The water levels in Rawal Dam reached dangerous levels, forcing the district administration to take precautionary measures by announcing opening the dam’s spillways early on Friday.
The water level in Rawal Dam reached 1,752 feet due to heavy showers on Thursday.

The spillways open at 6 am on Friday, according to a statement from the administration. The action is intended to manage the water flow and prevent any potential overflow, ensuring the safety of surrounding regions.
