Revised timings announced for schools after Eid

LAHORE: The Punjab Education Department has announced revised timings for schools after Eid ul Fitr holidays.

The Punjab Education Department has issued a formal notification regarding new school timings.

According to the notification, single-shift schools will start at 8 AM and close at 1:30 PM, with Friday’s dismissal at 12 PM.

In double-shift schools, the morning shift will begin at 8 AM and end at 12:30 PM, while Friday’s closing time will be 12 PM.

Eid-ul-Fitr holidays announced for schools

The second shift will start at 1 PM and end at 5:30 PM, with Friday’s classes beginning at 2:30 PM, as per the revised timings for schools.

These new timings will be effective from April 7 and will remain in place until October 15.

The Punjab government has announced Eid-ul-Fitr holidays for schools and colleges across the province.

Meanwhile, Punjab Schools Secretary Khalid Wattoo stated that government schools will observe holidays from March 28 to April 6. However, annual results for government schools will be announced on April 4.

He further added that the new academic year will commence on April 7, and students will be promoted to their new grades.
