SC nullifies Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui’s dismissal

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has declared the dismissal of Islamabad High Court’s Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui as invalid.

The decision was announced by a five-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Of Pakistan Qazi Fazi Isa.

Apart from the CJP the bench comprised Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Irfan Saadat Khan.

The court ruled that due to the delay in hearing of the case Justice Siddique has reached the age of 62 thus he cannot be restored to his post and he should be considered a retired judge now
