KARACHI: All schools in Sindh, including in Karachi, reopened on Wednesday after a 10-day long winter break.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh Education Department, all educational institutes throughout the province including Karachi would resume their educational activities from today after the winter vacations.
Due to the blockage of several roads across the city amid ongoing protest by the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) against the Parachinar issue, parents were speculating whether to send their children to school or not. Some parents were also of the view that the provincial government would announce extended schools winter break in Sindh.
The MWM has staged sit-ins at 12 different places in Karachi on the Parahinar issue.
