Solution to Balochistan’s issues lies in civil-military cooperation: COAS


Army chief visits Turbat Balochistan

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that the resolution of Balochistan’s problems is only possible through joint efforts of civil and military institutions.

According to ISPR, the army chief visited Turbat on Saturday where he was briefed on successful operations against “Fitna-e-Hindustan” and ongoing development projects in southern Balochistan.

Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the need for good governance and people-friendly development, saying the Pakistan Army stands with the people of Balochistan for peace and prosperity.

“Only combined efforts of civil and military institutions can address the province’s challenges,” he said, adding that the army remains committed to safeguarding national sovereignty.

During interaction with troops, the field marshal praised their morale, operational readiness, and role in maintaining peace despite difficult conditions.

ISPR said the visit aimed to review security and development measures. Balochistan Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, and other officials were also present.
