Spears of Victory: air combat exercise held in Saudi Arabia

A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) contingent, equipped with JF-17 Thunder Block III fighter jets, has arrived in Saudi Arabia to participate in the exercise under ‘Spears of Victory 2025’. The event includes Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bahrain, and France, shared Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the armed forces.

The PAF fighter jets flew directly from their home base to Saudi Arabia, conducting in-flight air-to-air refueling which reflects the long-range capabilities of JF-17 aircraft. The contingent includes both air and ground crew.

PAF pilots will participate with the JF-17 Thunder Block III equipped with AESA radar and BVRAAM missiles and the PAF JF-17 Thunder Block III will face off against other modern fighter jets.

Modern fighter jets and combat support elements from Greece, Qatar, UAE, the United States, and the United Kingdom are also participating. The Royal Saudi Air Force is hosting Spears of Victory for the fifth time.

This marks the fifth iteration of the exercise hosted by the Royal Saudi Air Force. It serves as a valuable platform for enhancing interoperability among participating air forces, given the evolving technological landscape, the growing complexity of airpower operations, and the shared challenges in aerial defense.
