Sub-Inspector of Islamabad police shot dead

ISLAMABAD: Sub-Inspector of Islamabad Territory Police was shot dead outside his home in the wee hours of Saturday in the jurisdiction of Shahzad Town police station.

According to the police, sub-Inspector Haider Shah was shot by unknown assailants. He was shifted to the polyclinic hospital in critical condition but he succumbed to his injuries.

Sub-Inspector Haider Shah was appointed as an investigating officer at the Industrial Area police station. He was currently investigating several murder cases, according to the police.

IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has issued directives to use all resources to capture the killers. Police has started a probe and have formed special teams to arrest the assailants.
