Sunday’s weather: scorching heat, dusty winds; rain likely in north

WEB DESK: On Sunday, the weather will be warm in most parts of the country, while the southern regions will be very hot with dusty winds and thunderstorms. However, in Gilgit-Baltistan, North Balochistan, and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, there is a possibility of rain with thunder at a few places, accompanied by windy and gusty conditions.

Going are by area, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that in Islamabad and surrounding areas, the weather will remain hot and dry. However, there is a possibility of dusty winds in the afternoon.
In Punjab, the weather will be hot in most districts, with very hot conditions expected in the southern districts and the possibility of dusty winds and storms. The weather in Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas will be dry, with daytime temperatures remaining high.

However, in Kohistan, Swat, Malakand, Balakot, and surrounding areas, thundershowers are possible at a few locations, accompanied by wind and thunderstorms.
The weather in Sindh will remain very hot in most districts, while the coastal areas will experience hot and humid conditions. There is a possibility of wind and storms in the upper districts, with light rain or drizzle expected over the coastal areas of Karachi and Sindh.

Kashmir is expected to remain partly cloudy, and likewise Gilgit-Baltistan is also expected to stay cloudy, but with strong winds and thundershowers likely to bring rain to a few places.
