Online transfer applications open for teachers as Punjab lifts ban

WEB DESK: The Punjab Education Department has lifted the ban on teacher transfers, issuing a notification to that effect.

A detailed schedule for transfer applications has also been released. Under the new guidelines, teachers across all categories will be eligible for transfers based on merit, mutual agreement, and quotas for widows and disabled individuals.

All transfer applications will be processed and scrutinised online. Applications can be submitted through the e-system from 12 August to 31 August.

Scrutiny of these applications will take place from 1 September to 5 September. Appeals against the scrutiny results can be filed from 6 September to 9 September, with decisions on these appeals being made during the same period.

Furthermore, decisions on reconsideration requests will be issued from 10 September to 11 September. The final transfer orders are scheduled to be released on 13 September.
