Terrorist attack foiled in Bannu

BANNU: A terrorist attempt to attack Bannu Cantt was thwarted, sources report.

At 4:40 AM on Monday morning, terrorists attempted to breach the cantonment by detonating a vehicle-borne IED on the road between the outer wall of Bannu Cantt and the supply depot.

Security forces, acting promptly, foiled the attack.

An effective operation has since cornered the terrorists. Security forces have initiated a clearance operation to secure the area.
