Top officials, politicians attend funeral of martyred constable at D Chowk

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi attended the funeral prayer of martyred police official Abdul Hameed. The solemn ceremony, held today, drew high-profile figures from both provincial and federal levels.

Islamabad IG Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and Punjab IG Dr Usman Anwar were also present at the funeral to pay their respects.

Governor Kundi made his way to D-Chowk to join the prayers, honouring the fallen policeman who sacrificed his life in the line of duty.

The gathering marks a moment of unity and respect, as leaders from across the country come together to mourn the loss of a brave officer who lost his life at the hands of violent protestors during a protest rally by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi spoke to media after the funeral prayers and said, “Those who are involved in this murder will be brought to justice”. He added that the plot and martyrs package will be given to the constable’s family within the next two days.
