Turkish President arrives tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: On the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will arrive on a two-day visit to Pakistan starting Wednesday.
According to the Foreign Office, President Erdogan will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising ministers, senior officials, and corporate leaders.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz and President Erdogan will co-chair the 7th Session of the Pakistan-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), according to Radio Pakistan.
At the end of the session, both sides are expected to sign a Joint Declaration along with several key agreements and MoUs. The two leaders will also address a joint press conference.
President Erdogan will hold separate meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari.

Additionally, he will join PM Shehbaz in addressing the Pakistan-Turkiye Business and Investment Forum, which will bring together leading investors, companies, and business figures from both countries.
The HLSCC is the highest decision-making body between the two nations, guiding strategic cooperation in various fields. Several Joint Standing Committees operate under its framework, covering trade, investment, banking, finance, culture, tourism, energy, defence, agriculture, transport, communication, IT, health, science, technology, and education.
So far, six sessions of the HLSCC have taken place, with the last one held in Islamabad on February 13-14, 2020.
Pakistan and Turkiye share deep-rooted historical and fraternal ties. The upcoming visit of President Erdogan and the 7th HLSCC session are expected to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation across multiple sectors.
