Two soldiers martyred, eight injured in Kurram attack

KURRAM: Fitna Al Khawarij martyred two soldiers and injured eight others after targeting a check post in the Hussain Mila area of Upper Kurram in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The terrorists crossed into Pakistan from Nangahar province of Afghanistan for carrying out the attack, using heavy and sophisticated weapons.

Meanwhile, one of the martyred troops have been identified as Lance Naik Saleem, who lost his life on the spot.

Later, another soldier succumbed to his injuries after being airlifted to Peshawar. However, his name could not be confirmed by the time this report was being filed.  

The details of other injured troops are given as: Naib Subedar Javed Hussain, Hawaldar Muali Khan, Hawaldar Jihad Hussain Turi, Lance Naik Yousaf, Lance Naik Syed Ayub, Sepoy Abrar and Sepoy Usman.

Pakistan saddened by Air India plane crash

It is reported that the security forces personnel started an operation to hunt down the terrorists. However, the locals too joined them in the process as mosque loudspeakers were used to ask them to chase the attackers.

On the other hand, the forces managed to arrest one of the attackers who confessed that the Taliban had provided them with arms and ammunition to carry out the attack on the check post.
