WAPDA Chairman briefs PM on energy projects

ISLAMABAD: The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Chairman Lieutenant-General Retired Sajjad Ghani called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad to discuss hydroelectric projects.
He informed the prime minister about hydroelectric energy generation projects across the country, which aim to produce energy at lower costs.
The two also spoke about ongoing construction work on all the mega projects including Dasu, Diamir Bhasha and Mohmand Dam. Ghani briefed the PM on the pace of progress of the various projects.
He also apprised him about the effect of recent rains on the water reservoirs in the country, and how this might impact WAPDA’s progress towards its targets.
