Weather update: dry spell in plains; thunderstorms up north

WEB DESK: Tuesday’s weather forecast across the country promises a mix of conditions, with dry spells dominating most plains but punctuated by showers and thunderstorms in specific regions.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast that in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, the morning may greet residents with more rain accompanied by thunder. Meanwhile, southwest Balochistan anticipates a night-time drenching, with strong winds and thundershowers likely to make an appearance in select areas. The possibility of rain or sleet also looms.

Going area by area, in the capital city of Islamabad, and surrounding districts, expect partly cloudy skies. Similarly, Punjab will experience predominantly dry weather, although Murree, Galiat, and Gar two districts may see some cloud cover.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa braces for a wet start, with Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, and Malakand forecasted to receive more rain alongside robust winds and thunderous showers in the morning.

Sindh, on the other hand, anticipates a mostly dry and partly cloudy day across its districts.

Balochistan residents can expect dry and partly cloudy conditions in most areas, although Chagai, Washuk, Kech, Panjgur, and Gwadar may encounter rainfall during the night.
