Weather update: Heavy rain in Balochistan, dry weather nationwide


Weather update: Met Office warned of flash flooding in local water inlets in Gwadar, Washuk, Kharan, Panjgur, Noshki and Kech, Awaran, and Kalat.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued warnings of flash floods in Balochistan due to heavy rainfall in the province on Tuesday (today).

The PMD warned of flash flooding in local water inlets in Gwadar, Washuk, Kharan, Panjgur, Noshki and Kech, Awaran, and Kalat.

Meanwhile, residents in southern Balochistan are expected to cloudy weather with chances of rain wth strong winds, and thunderstorms.

On the other hand, most parts of the country are expected to remain dry on Tuesday. However, isolated regions might witness cloudy weather with the possibility of thunderstorms or drizzle.

Punjab is expected to remain dry in most districts, although Murree, Galliyat, and surrounding areas might experience partly cloudy weather.

Sindh residents can expect partly cloudy weather, with the likelihood of rain and thunderstorms in Dadu, Larkana, Jacobabad, Padian, Qambar Shahdadkot, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, and Karachi during the evening and night.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), most districts are anticipated to have dry and partly cloudy weather, while Waziristan, Tank, Bannu, and Kurram may experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms in the evening and night.

Lastly, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Kashmir are expected to have dry and partly cloudy weather throughout the day.
