WEB DESK: Hot and dry weather is expected to continue across most parts of the country today, predicts Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), with only a few regions likely to see some relief in the form of rain and thundershowers.

In Islamabad, the weather will remain dry and hot throughout the day, offering no respite from the heat.

In Punjab, hot and dry conditions will prevail in most districts. However, residents of Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas can expect partly cloudy skies, providing some relief from the sun.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the majority of plain districts will also experience dry weather. There is, however, a chance of rain accompanied by strong winds and thundershowers in Chitral, Dir, and Kurram later tonight, bringing some much-needed moisture to the region.

Sindh will see no significant change in weather conditions, with hot and dry conditions expected across most districts. Karachi, however, may experience partly cloudy skies, though no rain is forecast.

In Balochistan, the weather is likely to remain uniformly hot and dry across the province, with no signs of rain.

Kashmir will witness dry and partly cloudy weather, while in Gilgit-Baltistan, there is a possibility of rain with gusty winds and thundershowers in some areas, offering a brief reprieve from the otherwise dry conditions.

Despite the overall dry forecast, regions with potential rainfall should be prepared for localised wind and thunderstorms.
