Your guide to avoiding traffic jams in Rawalpindi, Islamabad during PSL matches

Due to the movement of cricket teams participating in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) X, extraordinary security arrangements have been made on Faizabad Express Highway, Club Road, Murree Road, Faisal Avenue, 9th Avenue and Srinagar Highway at various times till May 18, 2025.
Due to the route applied for the teams, from 12:30 PM to 02:00 PM and from 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM, there will be some disruption in the flow of traffic on the Express Highway and Srinagar Highway for some time, Islamabad Traffic Police said in an advisory.
The advisory warns that traffic will be slow. Therefore, citizens are advised to use the service road connected to the Express Highway and Srinagar Highway.
For travel towards Blue Area, Sector F-6 and F-7, travelers may use the H-8 underpass. Traffic coming and going to Red Zone and Serena Hotel should use Margalla Road, Jinnah Avenue, Ayub Chowk and Nadra Chowk, the Islamabad Traffic Police said.
Citizens going to Bari Imam should use Nadra Chowk. For Sector I and H, use Rawalpindi Peshawar Road, IJP Road and Service Road.
Moreover, heavy traffic is prohibited from entering Islamabad during the movement of teams, and movement from Murree Road to Serena and Faizabad via Rawal Dam will remain closed.
