Youtuber Imran Riaz arrested once again

LAHORE: TV host and Youtuber Imran Riaz has once again been arrested by Punjab police from Lahore Airport while he was departing for Saudi Arabia late Tuesday night.

According to reports, Youtuber Imran Riaz was arrested as he was preparing to depart for Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj. The police are yet to inform his family and lawyers under what charges Imran Riaz has been arrested.

His lawyer, Mian Azhar Siddique, confirmed the arrest, stating that Khan was in the state of Ihram and was accompanied by his legal counsel Mian Ali Ashfaq and other companions when he was taken into custody.

Mian Azhar told that plain clothes officials took Imran Riaz without a warrant and did not mention under which charges he was being arrested.

This marks his third arrest following the events of May 9, after which he was reported missing by authorities after being released from jail.

According to an earlier order by the court, Imran Riaz was allowed to leave the country to perform Hajj. However he was whisked off before he could even board the plane.

Earlier this year Anti-Corruption Establishment had arrested Imran Riaz accusing him and his father of securing a contract pertaining to Dharabi Lake in Chakwal at an inflated price.
