Alvi meets local PTI leadership, ahead of rally at Minar-e-Pakistan

LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is gearing up for a protest rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on October 5 (Saturday), as part of its ongoing campaign to voice concerns over various political and governance issues. The protest is expected to draw party supporters from across Lahore and surrounding areas.
Article 63A: PTI’s counsel boycotts Supreme Court bench
In preparation for the event, former president Arif Alvi held key meetings with the local leadership of PTI in Lahore. According to sources, he met with prominent party figures, including PTI Lahore President Sheikh Imtiaz, and several senior party members including Mehr Sharafat.
The discussions focused on finalising the strategy for the upcoming protest and ensuring smooth coordination among the party’s local chapters.
PTI leaders provided a detailed briefing to Arif Alvi about the plans and logistics for the protest, highlighting the expected turnout, security arrangements, and the key messages the party intends to convey during the demonstration.

Meanwhile, the provincial government has imposed Section 144 in Lahore for six days. PTI has also filed a plea against the imposition of Section 144 in Lahore High Court (LHC).
