ANP reacts to SC declaring PTI deserving of reserved seats

PESHAWAR: The Supreme Court’s decision on declaring Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) entitled to reserved seats has sparked significant reactions from other political parties.

The Awami National Party’s (ANP) central spokesperson voiced respect for the decision but reiterated their reservations about the transparency of the February 8 elections.

Ehsanullah Khan, a prominent ANP member and spokesperson, expressed the concern saying, “Our reservations about the transparency of the February 8 elections remain today.”

ANP has labelled the elections as the most rigged and controversial in history. The ANP has also been vocal in its criticism of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), accusing it of failing miserably in its responsibilities.

The ANP accused the ECP of engaging in questionable activities regarding reserved seats, describing it as a “drama.”

Reiterating their stance on eligibility for reserved seats, the ANP spokesperson declared, “ANP has already stated that only those whose members are in the assemblies are entitled to these seats.”
