LAHORE: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former finance minister Asad Umar denies meeting President Asif Ali Zardari.
In a conversation with the media outside at the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), Asad Umar said that there were some news circulating about him meeting President Zardari which are entirely untrue.
“I was in Lahore, but what sort of people are these who continue to spread fake news”, Asad Umar said.
Decision will finally be made on streets: Salman Akram Raja
Asad Umar also categorically denied joining Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) or any other political party. Addressing his fellow former PTI-member, he said, “Fawad Chaudhry is a politician and I’d advise him to stay a little cool”.
Asad Umar was present at the ATC in reference to May 9 cases against him. However, the investigation officer in the cases pertaining to Asad Umar was not present in the court today.
As a result, the ATC adjourned the hearing.
